Seva (pronounced 'Say-va') is the Sanskrit word
for "service" and strongly relates to the
concept of Karma Yoga or selfless service. Seva is an
essential "ingredient" of spiritual devotion
at the Santosh Puri Ashram.The Seva is performed by
the people living there and can be joined by any visitor
as well :
Cow Seva
Cleaning, feeding, massaging,
grass cutting in field or jungle, making the cows walk around
in the jungle, along the Ganga.

Gardening & building
- In the garden of the
Ashram are unlimited possibilities for planting of trees,
flowers, vegetables, cow grass, mais etc. and cutting and
cleaning.
- Improvement of the beauty
of the garden.
- Building sitting - meditation
places and huts for retreat etc.
- Samadhi
Temple construction.
- Improvement of the ashram
accomodation through painting, cleaning, decoration of rooms
etc... welcome.
Charitable work
- Donations for: cow seva,
free food giving, free clothing for children, Sadhus and
poor working people, free school-, tuition fees, free medical
help (medicines), donations for more room building and hygienic
facilities, library improvement.
- Teaching of poor (school)
children in English, painting, music, handicraft, sports,
etc...
